Research identifies breakdown in `remodeling' process
"Mayford, along with colleagues Edward Korzus and Michael Rosenfeld, gave mice a drug called trichostatin A. The drug helped the mice remember the original toy a day after first seeing it. The other research team used a similar drug, called SAHA. Dr. Kandel noted in his study that Huntington's disease has been linked to CBP. Scientists are testing whether the same drugs used in the two new studies could help mice with the rodent version of Huntington's disease."
